Mr. and Mrs. Toms

Well, I thought I could edit through the entire wedding, then put up my favorite images... But, I couldn't. I didn't make it. I hope to be able to do that soon, when I finish the editing. For now, though, enjoy these "first dance" photos. I just love them all made black-and-white. This room was regal. I loved everything about it, and the dancing photos are superb -- better than I imagined.

Emily

There really are no words to thank Emily enough for the sacrifice she has made for me. It truly takes a special person to sacrifice their time, energy, talent, and knowledge for someone else, and Emily has done that for me. 4 years ago I started assisting her, and it could not have been a better start to my photography career. A lot of what I do now was shaped by Emily's laid-back, kind, tender, spontaneous, contagious, fun spirit, and I'll be forever grateful.

I was privileged to second shoot for Emily again (for the first time in YEARS) on Saturday. Below I have some of my favorite shots from the wedding. I also shot some of Emily in action... I love it when the bride looked at Emily and said, "I love that I can see the smile behind your camera. I know that you love what you're doing." That sums it up perfectly.

I didn't realize how much photographing weddings would make me have a true appreciation for things in flowers. Example 1: flowers... I love these shots. I adore most flowers I see at weddings!

Happy Memorial Day!!!

Brandon and Megan were married last night at Old Waverly in West Point, Mississippi. Desite the rain and wind, the whole day was a party, and the wedding party was a blast!

a few of my favorite things...

Is there anything better than a really yummy salad: fresh lettuce, cheese, a little dressing, with some newly cooked chicken? NO.

I love my new mirror in the kitchen. I wanted the green wall to be a "frame" for something cool, and I love how it turned out.
