Camp Briarwood is a place that has always been near and dear to my heart. I have been spending time here last week and am here through the rest of this week. Camp is different now that I am older, and it takes a little more effort to enjoy the simple things in life. It is a good reminder, though, of my constant desire to please myself and enjoy the comfort we have with life. Look at this beauty:
This is Brian T. Murphy, also known as "Coach T" here at Camp Briarwood. He came out this week to help with an activity, as well as take some photographs. He destroyed the photo-taking and has brought a lot of needed laughter this week. Thanks, T.
This is the "pamper pole," which is one of my activities. The kids get to climb up and jump off. It's a lot higher than it looks, and the woods are a lot more humid than you can tell. They love it, though!
This is Amber. Amber is often my strength and my sanity. She and I met through camp and have been friends since then because of our camp bond. I love her. I love her. I love her. Amber, thanks for everything... I have loved these 2 weeks spent with you. "Hands up!"
And, one last view of camp. I shot this while I was on a teamwork activity with the kids. Sometimes you just need to stop and take in the things around you.
