Treasure

My family had some photos taken last week by a fantastic photographer named Jason Wallis.  I really do not know what to describe the slideshow as other than a treasure in my life. I will cherish the photos FOREVER... It sounds silly to say, but when I think about the future, my only goal is to have huge photos of things that mean a lot to me. That is really all that matters, I think. With that said, to have photos done so well of people who mean so much to me - really, it's more than a treasure. I just do not know how to describe it. Almost like I do not know how to describe the talent of Jason Wallis. Unbelievable, yet he has such a humble spirit. With this introduction, enjoy the photos. You will NOT be let down, I promise!

slow week

So, there aren't any photo op's this week before Christmas. I do have one, though, the day after Christmas. Hopefully I'll get those posted before my 2 weddings the week of New Years. I am anticipating some GREAT moments to capture with those two. :)

2nd shoot of the day...

It was my fault for being tired the day I did 2 photo shoots. I think they both went well, though. This little boy transferred some of his energy to me, which was nice. :) I was very pleased with the shots from Sunday. Enjoy!!

busy weekend

I had a weekend full of photography! 1 wedding and 2 kid sessions... Everything went well. Hopefully I will have some photos to post soon -- There are some GREAT ones from the kids. More to come!!

love well

Recently, I have spent a lot of time considering what this life is all about... what can I do to make a difference, make an impact. I came to the conclusion that it's all about loving well. We are called to love others, which is the hardest task of all. So often I enjoy loving myself... It is hard to think beyond that.
One thing I love about photography, though, is that it is a way to love others. Thinking back through the beginning of this great side-job of mine, what sets apart a good photographer is their care and concern for the client. I have been astounded at the example of this I have been able to witness from some of the best. So, here is my plug to them. (I really need to plug Brooke because her blog entry spurred me on to do mine...)

I am proud to say that Abby and Matt Cahill are great friends of mine. Sweet, sweet, sweet people... I loved this wedding. First of all, Abby and I have been friends for years. Secondly, their wedding parties were a blast to be around; finally, you can tell that their families are completely on board for this relationship. With that said, enjoy the photos. I am going to try to put up more over the next 24 hours or so of editing.

i guess i could have at least given a photo of the couple, since i made the disclaimer that they were in love. i am really loving the shots we got at this wedding. :)

i had a great time at erin and brandon's wedding today. the weather was absolutely SUPERB... i mean, it was the most incredbile day for a wedding. hopefully the photos will be up in the next week or so. i do love this one already, though. i wish i could stay awake to look at them all, but i am worn out. :)

race for the cure

well, all four of us raced for the cure this morning, in honor of my mom and my grandmother. mom and dad are on their anniversary trip, so here is a shot of us with momaw. :)

new hobby..

so, i guess my new hobby is taking senior pictures. it did help, though, that this girl is GORGEOUS... and fun to be around.

a good connection...

i know this girl named kristen, and even though i know her only via e-mail, she is so talented. she takes photos and designs them into neat cards. the best thing about it is that YOU get the copyright and can print them very affordably, actually anywhere you'd like. she has just decided a pseudo-business card for me and recently did a Christmas card for my family. i think her talent is definitely worth spreading...
