Jessica Claire Workshop & A Trip to California

So, since Monday morning (early Monday morning), my mom and I have been vacationing in California. When we arrived at the Orange County airport, we hopped into our convertible and headed towards our resort:

I know you are all feel so sorry that we had to spend 2 days here! (Can you say destination wedding?)

the view from our balcony...

I loved these cute little homes next to the resort; wouldn't it be fantastic to live there?

On the last day, we travelled to LA to view Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. It was a nice city, although I will say that I am more fond on New York City. All I had heard was that I had to visit this "Sprinkles Cupcakes" place, and I must say that I was not very impressed. Maybe I am spoiled by the Pastry Art Bake Shoppe right here in Homewood.

On Tuesday, it was off to the Jessica Claire workshop, and for those of you who don't believe me, I got a photo to prove it!

A few things that really impressed me about Jessica were that she is very kind and really funny. She is also very open and honest with teaching; I can tell that with her, "what you see is what you get." I wonder if I'd ever be so lucky as to have her photograph my wedding?!

I did win a gift card for making a name tag that represented my brand best... Yay Camille!

Jessica Claire and her team made the most incredible "mock ceremony." A huge thanks goes out to the following:

Here are a few detail shots from the day:

Through the mock wedding, Jessica showed us how she shoots through the schedule of a wedding. It was great to watch her in action.

And, this was the scene behind Jessica shooting...

My favorite of the day. Weren't our models just beautiful? They actually weren't models at all, just a couple... But, a beautiful, model-like couple!

I really tried to get photos that representing my photography style and brand, and I think I accomplished that.

I met 2 talented photographers at this conference. Can you believe there was another Camille there (from Canada)? She and I made a "Camille sandwich" for Ashley, of Picture Me Married out of Texas.

And, for all you web-stalkers, there were some well-known people at dinner. Recognize this guy?

Jeff, Jessica's fiance, cooked us a fabulous dinner.

And, his brother, Michael Norwood, was there grilling and chatting.

It was really a fabulous time. I will end with this photo, which really jumps out at me every time I go through my sequence of photos:
