Winding Up 2010

This sweet couple married in November. I can't believe I haven't blogged more about Lee and Katie, but here are my 13 favorites from their wedding day (November 13th). I did add a few extras, and you'll see why...

Sometimes I'll forget moments like this until I start post-processing the images. Then I simply die out laughing in the editing process; this one stayed for sure!

"Cakes by Jan" came through again with this tasty cake and beautiful display for Katie:

Sweet, sweet father/daughter dance to "Butterfly Kisses." Everyone was in tears at the end of this one, including me!

Who would you use?

I get asked often who I would use if I were getting married. Now, don't get me wrong - there is no wedding anywhere in the near future. Still, it's an interesting question, and I don't know if I have the answer.

I'll look at people's blogs often and be drawn to their work. I don't know if I can name them all, but today I was struck by Bobbi and Mike, an incredible husband-and-wife team. There was just something about their post that made me smile. I can say that if I were to get engaged tonight, I'd have to hit them up.

I'm off to New Orleans with some of my dearest, closest friends for the weekend. I'll keep you guys updated on my pending birthday and on another Sonnet House wedding I am very much anticipating next weekend!

Grateful.

They said that Mom wouldn't live past last Thanksgiving. Not a chance. And here we are, a week from Turkey Day, and my heart couldn't be more full. I have learned that life is so much more than what we make it. I have learned to love extravagantly and not regret anything. I have learned to enjoy each moment of life and remember the blessings, even if unseen.

Thanks be to God for providing me with all my needs. And many of my wants. And a mom who can watch me turn 24. And teach me how to be a good friend, believer, sister, aunt, and wife (one day). Mom, there are no words to describe how much I love you... and how grateful I am to God for 2010.

A Marathon Sunday!

I just so happened to have many inquiries for couple/family photo shoots this month and had to put them all on 2 days. I really love, though, how these came out today. First up, Sara and her new fiance, Ben. I don't think I have seen Sara since high school - it was so fun to be able to catch up with her.

I wanted to post this little "sneak peak" from today's wedding. Lee and Katie really are a very sweet couple, and their wedding was just beautiful. We got to the Hoover Country Club just as the sun was setting and were able to do a short portrait session. Love this one:

Who Are You?

I am always curious and sometimes surprised by who reads my blog and looks at wedding images. So, I thought that I would ask you guys. My dear friend Abby recently had this cutie pie. It just happens to be her birthday, and I hope these pictures bring a smile to her face today! This cute boy was not too fond of photographs with his "Aunt Camille," but I really like what we got. Enjoy!
